The very first step to healing is to decide you want to be healed.
It may sound crazy, but before I begin a session I usually ask clients if they are ready to accept healing. Everyone says yes at first, but if I ask them again and again quickly often a “no” will come out. It is often necessary to go within ourselves and decide to put away our fears and actively seek healing. Our human makeup is such that fear of change often stops us from doing what we need to do to move towards healing.
