Care, Comfort, Compassion, Community

A Chevrah Kadisha “Sacred Society” is the traditional organization in a Jewish community that supports and assists families at the end of life and after, providing a continuum of care to the dying and those in mourning.

The Maui Chevrah Kadisha is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donors can deduct contributions under IRC Section 170.

The service planned for Sunday Oct. 15, to pray for for those impacted by the Maui wildfires, has been expanded to include those impacted by the brutal terrorist attacks in Israel.

  • Birkat HaGomel will be read by a survivor of the Lahaina fires on behalf of all the other survivors, both in Israel and on Maui.

  • Kaddish will be read for those who have died and prayers of healing for all those impacted.
